I almost hate to bring this up again but it's time to put it to bed. With posters still asking me about it and folks talking of software glitches and other stuff want to close the door on this one last time. Nothing new to report here but will go over what I know one last time......

I was against the decision not to pay this man his loyalty points, everyone knows that. Said so many times and I still am of that same thought. For the record I know nothing about any other software glitches we are hearing about now. The truth is they thought he was a wiseguy so they didn't pay him. At this point as I thought to begin with nothing is going to change, that's that. As far as the Shrink saying he thought the player got paid that was a misunderstanding and he came to the forums and admitted it. Was no malice or sneakiness involved in that. Ken knows the truth would be easy to verify so it wouldn't be worth lying about even if there was anything to gain. For one Ken isn't a liar, for two there would be nothing to gain by lying anyway. Anyway for the record this man was never paid, end of story.

Now to go on with this, I think our job here is to present all sides and I will do that. One of the things I take seriously is using the RX to advise players who need it as honestly and upfront as we can. Without agenda! I may get called down the road on "having an agenda" when the truth is I am simply saying something someone doesn't want me to say, LOL. I expect that and can live with it. But as a player first and foremost I always appreciated good advice I could count on and that will be what I try and give here. On that note in my honest opinion no one has to worry about getting paid at CRIS. I have always said this before I worked here and just about anyone in the business will agree. And in fact though this poster never got paid CRIS went back and amended the rules of the loyalty program to cover this for the future. I am glad to see it. They felt it was sharp action and the program was geared towards squares or "recreational players", it should have said that all along more clearly but it does say just that now. To put this to rest many of us think it was a bad decision to not pay him but the book is in NO DANGER of stiffing anyone or running off with anybody's post up funds. Very solid book. To even pretend anyone here thinks CRIS is a dangerous book is a ridiculous statement and one I want to be clear on. Most regulars know this but we have some new people around and no reason for them to believe CRIS is anything other than a solid book. Disagreements will happen and we didn't see eye to eye with them here but let's not make a mountain out of a mole hill. It sucks when you are the one who didn't get paid (and not as big a deal when it is someone else) so that is why I spoke out as much as I did when this thing broke. I would have loved to see this man paid but it didn't happen and it isn' going to.

The last thing I want to say on this is PLEASE come to us if you ever have a problem with a book!! Don't tell them you post on the RX and you will make their life a living hell if they don't do what you say, don't threaten them with going to every place on the internet to badmouth them. Or any of a number of threats you can think of. Get on the phone and call me or the Shrink. There is a good possibility we can resolve the thing if you do that. Though there may be a misunderstanding with the book which is prompting you to call to begin with, if you treat them professionally most of the books out there will treat you the same way. I have seen Ken work and he has a good relationship with the off-shore people. For my part I promise to hound him to be fair to the player if I ever feel for some reason he is not, we will work together. However to help us as I said please contact us before you start bashing the book out in the forum. If things don't get resolved and after all avenues are exhausted then we will come to the forums with you.

Thanks for hearing me out and your patience on the matter.

I can't agree with you on this McIrish. They should have just sucked it up and pay this guy what he was robbed of. Was it worth it with all the bad publicity they received?

Maybe I am wrong, but this showed me they are kind of desperate in revoking his bonus. I can not recommend a book where they can just confiscate your money and then that's the end of the story.

If we were dealing in a regulated environment, CRIS would be the loser in this case. We are not so more of this nonsense will continue like it's no big deal similiar to what happened in this case.

I spoke with the player. He told me the types of wagers he made, and those types of wagers were not the types of bets that Cris's software had a glitch with by awarding excess bonus points to a bettor.

That being said, Cris should have paid the bonus that was due, and either told him they would not honor additional bonus points if thats what they wanted to do, kick him out, lower his limits etc.

THEN THEY SHOULD HAVE CHANGED THEIR BONUS RULES ON THEIR WEBSITE FOR ALL TO SEE, WHERE ALL THEIR CUSTOMERS COULD BE NOTICED THAT bonuses wouldn't be paid on quarters, or to pros, or whatever they want to include or exclude from their shop.

Very poor public relations for such a good shop.

Good points guys. Joey I think they did update the rules page now. I take that as a good sign for the future. Thanks for your thoughts....

Truth - not sure where you and I disagree? I wanted the player taken care of as much as anyone. Spoke out on it like it was my own money. What do you not agree with? Unless you disagree with me that CRIS is a solid out? It isn't only shit books that make a bad decision once in a while, good books do it too. Not a chance I will think CRIS is not one of the most stable books out there. Solid book that made a mistake, it happens.

I've made one or two myself....

With all due respect Patrick, you don't know CRIS to be safe. In fact, know one but a couple of people that have access to their money knows this. But what we do know is the following has happened all within the last 9 months to them:

* Their head man was picked up by the US government, extradited, and put in prison
* Their offices were raided & they were shut down for a couple of days (please spare the semantics)
* They have started cold calling people
* They have STIFFED not one, but a number of players out of money. At least 4 that I know of that have posted about it, and who knows how many more that never post on these boards. That was not a minor, but MAJOR LEAGUE STIFF job, the kind of act that a teetering book pulls, not one that is fiscally strong imo.

"Strong books" don't do and/or don't have these kind of things happen to them. I just want those that might be thinking about posting up with CRIS to have an idea of what the KNOWN FACTS are about them.

Pat,

Where we disagree is the magnitude of this case. You stated, "Disagreements will happen and we didn't see eye to eye with them here but let's not make a mountain out of a mole hill."

I consider stealing someone's money more than a mere "mole hill".

I will bet large money that Cris is safe.

That's fine man, but if you think they are so safe, instead of betting large money about it, why don't you guarantee the post up of anyone that signs up with them thru the RX?

Bet2:

I'd bet CRIS has more money in spare change than your net worth x's 10.

Truth - good point on the wording there, I agree with you and CM it isn't a "small" issue by any means. Especially if you are one of the players involved. However they are just about as safe a book as you will find. For me to say otherwise when I have a player asks me would be wrong in my view. My job here is to give good advice, won't always be perfect but it will be what I believe. I believe CRIS is safe, VERY SAFE for that matter.

We will all see things a little differently though, thanks for the input guys.

If what CM is stating is true, and it probably is knowing CM and his integrity, this is a serious issue. I may have been sleeping at the

, but I had never heard of all these allegations. If true, I personally would think twice about posting up there, even if they were the most well funded sportsbook on the planet.

"I will bet large money that Cris is safe." was just as ridiculous a proposition as "That's fine man, but if you think they are so safe, instead of betting large money about it, why don't you guarantee the post up of anyone that signs up with them thru the RX?". Thought that was kind of obvious.

Anyhow, I respect your opinion Judge. Just stating facts for those that don't know.

Bet,just seemed funny, why I would stand good for Cris on the RX when I have no finacial interest in either. However if it was a bet,I then would have a financial interest.Anyway,no problem man, everyone has a right to their own opinion.

Truth - CRIS is a solid book IMO. Are they safe to play at? Absolutely. You never want ANY problems with any book at any time but the fact they had a problem with loyalty points does not mean a player is not safe there. If I thought they weren't I would never say that. Reality is they are much safer there than some new book that offers up a big bonus just to attract some post up money and gullible players. The fact is CRIS isn't even an advertiser here, I am saying this because it's true.

I know you are upset with CRIS, a lot of people are but that does not change the fact this is a solid book. I think at this point most can make an informed decision. They have heard from just about everyone there is to hear from. If CRIS goes down soon you will have me eating crow. Anyway I don't wish to offend you on this, all this just my honest opinion on the matter.

No one will make me respect a book that steals anything from anyone. Worse than the stealing in my opinion is this books word means nothing to me any longer.

Leader in the industry? Don't make me laugh. If this book is leading post up industry down in Costa Rica times are worse than even I realized. You can't round up enough shills, employees (and former employees) here to make me believe otherwise. Even the gullible one's we keep hearing defend them won't be brainwashed much longer.

This book is in the Stockade at one of the most respected watchdog sites in the world and that's where they belong. Playing here could be big trouble IMO.
